Sikorsky gets $7.8 million for MH-53, CH-53 programs

Sikorsky Aircraft Corp. has been awarded $7,89 million by the U,S. Department of Defence against a previously issued basic ordering agreement (N00019-14-G-0004) to incorporate Nacelles physical configuration audit support and 36 total production kits in support of the MH-53 and CH-53 in-service program.
Work will be performed in Tallahassee, Ala. (90 per cent); and Stratford, Conn. (10 per cent), and is expected to be completed in November 2018. Fiscal 2014 and 2015 aircraft procurement (Navy) funds in the amount of $7,893,500 are being obligated on this award, $1,742,304 of which will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.
