March 8, 2011 – As part of its 100th birthday celebration, StandardAero donated a check in the amount of $1,750 to Copters For A Cause during this year’s Helicopter Association International (HAI) HELI-EXPO 2011.

The donations were part of a market research study conducted by the company contributing $25 for every completed survey. As part of this year’s show in Orlando, Fla., StandardAero will be celebrating its milestones and achievements over the past one hundred years.

“This being our Centennial Celebration we wanted to give something back to those communities and organizations supported by the heli industry,” said Tom Roche, StandardAero Vice President, Helicopter Programs, “Corporate citizenship is important to StandardAero and having the ability to contribute to a charitable organization associated with our industry only made sense. The great thing about Copters For A Cause is the flexibility they exercise in giving to a wide range of worthy causes.”

“We’re tremendously pleased that StandardAero has chosen us as the recipient of their philanthropic goodwill,” said Cayce Batterson, Copters For A Cause Co-Founder. “As a non-profit organization, our mission is to serve the giving community through the unique gift of flight. Through the generosity of StandardAero, we can continue to provide copter rides during charity events which will allow us to continue serving the various needs of those charities we support.”
