HEPAC looks for new Board of Directors

April 9, 2009, Ottawa – After recently adopting new bylaws, HEPAC is now one step closer to electing a new board of
directors.

“This comes at a crucial time for our industry. Now more than ever engineers, pilots and
operators need to work together and help each other get through the difficult downturn.
Operators, engineers and pilots can all benefit from the various programs that HEPAC has
started to develop” said acting president Lee Johnson.

Johnson further added that to be able to continue moving forward HEPAC needs fresh
leadership. “It’s time for people to step forward and help steer HEPAC, not just to complete
the great work that the founding directors have started, but also to find new ways for HEPAC to
advance and grow.”

HEPAC will elect a fresh Board of Directors and a new executive consisting of President, Vice
President, Treasurer and Secretary. All positions are open for committee members and chairs
as well.

Persons interested in sitting on the Board of Directors or taking on any of the available
executive positions should submit a brief introductory letter identifying what contribution they
would like to make as an HEPAC board member, along with a picture and a cv. These items will
be posted on the Web site, along with those of all other candidates. Members will be able to
discuss issues and ask questions of each candidate.
