STARS will soon be landing at Winnipeg’s Health Science Centre

Saving time can save lives, which is why the new heliport will be so welcome at the Health Sciences Centre when it finally goes into action this spring.
“Now, we land at the airport and do a stretcher-to-stretcher transfer, then we go to a ground ambulance and drive the patient to the hospital, so it will have a significant impact on patient care,” Sarah Painter, a flight nurse for the Shock Trauma Air Rescue Society ambulance, said Tuesday.
“It will be life-saving, potentially, for many patients that we carry.” | READ MORE
