July 28, 2017 By Summit Helicopters
Summit Helicopters has announced that it has added Frank Carmichael to its operations team in Yellowknife as base manager.
Carmichael is a seasoned professional in aviation, with 40-plus years of experience in the industry. Born in Inuvik, Northwest Territories, Carmichael has gained helicopter piloting experience from the Arctic to South America. Prior to joining Summit Helicopters, he owned and operated an air taxi service situated in Canada’s Western Arctic for 10 years.
“Frank is no stranger to aviation in Canada’s Northwest Territories,” said Scott Fletcher, general manager of Summit Helicopters. “We will rely on Frank’s forty-plus years of aviation experience to help us continue our growth in the North; and to further our commitment to attract and hire more Northerner’s to our team.”
Carmichael will be joining the Summit Aviation Group’s highly-experienced crew, managing one of the largest and most diverse fleets in the industry. Our Yellowknife base has been in operation for over two decades, while our services range across Northern and Western Canada, and now internationally in the United Kingdom and Indonesia
