March, 18, 2008 - Apical Industries Inc., has received Transport Canada approval of their Replacement Lower Forward Fuselage Panel for Eurocopter AS350/355 model helicopters.

March, 18, 2008 – DART Helicopter Services has announced that their subsidiary Apical Industries Inc., has received Transport Canada approval of their Replacement Lower Forward Fuselage Panel for Eurocopter AS350/355 model helicopters. FAA approval was previously received and EASA approval is expected soon.

After years of service your panels can show signs of deterioration and moisture damage. The Apical Replacement Fuselage Panel uses a high strength carbon fiber and glass fibre that surrounds a structural foam core to improve the service life and resistance to in-service damage.  Apical’s panel mounts in the original location using existing fasteners and is available in two different finishes, clear coat or primed. A thin spray on-on metallic coating is applied to the inner surface of the fairing which serves as a ground plane for antennas, if needed.  Also, the panel core is absent in the areas of commonly used options, such as mounts and vertical reference windows, for ease of installation.

Apical’s additional Transport Canada approvals for AS350/355 aircraft include:

  • Cylindrical Emergency Float Systems with and without Integrated Rafts
  • Tri-Bag Emergency Float System
  • Utility Fixed Float System
  • Replacement Cylindrical Emergency Floats
