Transport Minister Lawrence Cannon announced in January
thereappointment of Dr. Michel Larose and the appointment of Richard Willems to
the transportation Appeal Tribunal of Canada. 

Dr. Larose is currently medical assessor for the Commission
des lésions professionnelles, medical director for the Union  of Canadian Officers of the Naval Port of Canada, medical director for the Community
of Grey Nuns of Montreal as well as counsel member of the Counsel of Doctors,
Dentists and Pharmacists of Notre Dame Hospital of Montreal.

Dr. Larose is a
member of the Administrative Counsel of CARE Canada and a former investigative
coroner. He has been reappointed to the Transportation Appeal Tribunal of Canada for two years. Willems has been pilot in command
of a Canadair Challenger for Rogers Telecommunications Ltd. for over 13
years. He holds an Airline Transport Pilot licence as well as two years
experience towards an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer licence. He has also taken a number of aviation courses throughout
his career, covering such topics as international procedures, flight safety
crew resource manage- ment, weather radar, jet transition, dangerous goods,
aircraft accident survival and cabin crew training.

Willems has been
appointed to the Transportation
Appeal Tribunal of Canada for three years.
