Turbomeca appoints new director

June 13, 2012, Grand Prairie, Tx. - Engine manufacturer Turbomeca has appointed David Horton as director of commercial and para public operator support for its U.S. operations. Horton will report to Jean-Marc Domergue, vice president of customer support at Turbomeca USA, Inc.


Horton has over 25 years of experience in aviation including executive positions at Bell Helicopter, Composite Technology, Inc. and Schweizer Helicopter Corporation, Inc., (the latter are both subsidiary companies of Sikorsky). Horton returned home to the Greater Dallas-Fort Worth area with his family to accept an executive position at Uniflight, LLC prior to joining Turbomeca USA.

Horton received a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Texas Tech University and earned his Master’s Degree in Business Administration in Aviation from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He has also completed both management and executive management programs at Southern Methodist University and University of Virginia, Darden School of Business.

Turbomeca said Horton’s key focus would be to continue to enhance customer support through continuous improvement and timely response to customer needs.
