Turbomeca Limited becomes Turbomeca UK and enlarges its activities’ scope

Jan. 11, 2008 - The UK site of Turbomeca, Turbomeca Limited based in Fareham, Hampshire, has officially changed its name to Turbomeca UK.
Jan. 11, 2008 – The UK site of Turbomeca, Turbomeca Limited based in Fareham, Hampshire, has officially changed its name to Turbomeca UK.
Turbomeca UK is enlarging its accountability, regarding sales, marketing and technical support. It supports 2,000 engines operating in the UK market and has a current employee headcount of 180. Turbomeca UK is formed on the basis of the merger of Microturbo Ltd and Turbomeca Ltd. To cope with growing demand and to offer in country support, Turbomeca mandates Turbomeca UK for direct customer management.
Christian Hamel, the Chief Executive Officer of Turbomeca UK, declares: "The change of name was necessary for reasons of consistency since most of the other Turbomeca sites use the Turbomeca name followed by the area from which they operate. This new name will define each of us as a full member of a worldwide network. Furthermore, with an enviable industrial capability covering both Turbomeca and Microturbo products, the strength of the organisation is increasing through the skills-set of the workforce as well as the quality of product".
