Aug. 12, 2009, Alma, Que. – Panorama Helicopters, based in Alma Que., was purchased in July by the Quebec-based leasing company Villeneuve Helicopters Ltd. Currently, Panorama operates 10 helicopters, working primarily in the firefighting and mining sectors. It’s fleet consists of one Bell 204, two Bell 206s, and seven Eurocopter AStars. The company also operates an MRO shop.

The company will remain in Alma and will continue to operate under the name Panorama Helicopters. Panorama offers year-round service from its main base at the Alma Airport with satellite bases elsewhere in the province. Panorama is also authorized to operate a non-scheduled international service (small aircraft) to transport traffic on a charter basis between Canada and any other country. Panorama has been in operation since 2004.
