Nov. 9, 2011, Winnipeg - On Thursday Nov. 3 at about 4 a.m., police received a report about a possible break and enter in the 200 block of Aberdeen Avenue. The police helicopter responded and located a man leaving the home, then pointed police on the ground to the 300 block of Redwood Avenue. Police arrested the man there.

A 56-year-old man faces a charge of break and enter a dwelling house with intent to commit an indictable offence. He was released on a promise to appear.

The second break and enter happened Saturday Nov. 5 at about 2 a.m. at a school in the 400 block of Church Avenue.

Officers from the canine unit headed to the school and spotted a damaged outside door.

The police helicopter responded to the call and saw a suspect leaving the property.

Police found the suspect in a park nearby. As a result of the break and enter, the school had $6,000 damage to the building.

Marc Norman Jeanson, 22, is facing several charges related to the break-in. Jeanson is also charged with three court breaches and an outstanding warrant to arrest. He was detained in custody.
