DART Aerospace launches two new AW139 accessories

DART Aerospace continues to lead in product development with the launch of high quality accessories for the AW139: The Heavy Duty Heli-Access-Step and the Quick Release Maintenance Step.
DART’s AW139 Heli-Access-Steps are available in both heavy duty and lightweight options. Both variants are stronger than OEM passenger steps currently available, which are prone to cracking near joints and fuselage generating high replacement rates. The fully aluminum construction makes it convenient to install using existing fastener locations and the step does not require permanent modification to the airframe. DART’s AW139 Heavy Duty Heli-Access-StepTM is the ideal solution to reduce recurring maintenance costs for AW139 operators and owners.
DART’s new AW139 Quick Release Maintenance Step offers an 85% weight and drag reduction within seconds, using a push pin locking system, compared to permanent variants. It also provides a secure work platform composed of sturdy CNC machined components combined with non-slip embossed relief pattern. The AW139 Quick Release Maintenance Step installs on the left- and/or right-hand side(s) of the aircraft roof, making it ideal to perform safe inspections on main rotor and transmission.
Both the AW139 Heavy Duty Heli-Access-Step and the Quick Release Maintenance Step have obtained a list of STC certification approvals that include the United States (FAA), Canada (TCCA), Europe (EASA) and Brazil (ANAC).
