ABC’s John Nance to speak at CHC Summit

Feb. 1, 2011, Vancouver - John Nance, best-selling author, professional speaker, pilot, licensed attorney and aviation correspondent for ABC News and Good Morning America, will be a keynote speaker at a major aviation safety conference in Vancouver.


Organizers of the 2011 CHC Safety & Quality Summit announced today that John Nance, one of America's most dynamic professional speakers, will join Tony Kern and Graham Braithwaite as the keynote speakers at this year's event, March 28 – 30, 2011.

"We are thrilled Mr. Nance will make his first appearance at our Summit," said Greg Wyght, Vice President, Safety and Quality for CHC Helicopter. "His experience in the aviation sector makes John a must-see speaker and we are pleased to have him on our 2011 agenda."

A decorated Air Force pilot veteran of Vietnam and Operations Desert Storm/Desert Shield and a Lt. Colonel in the USAF Reserve, Nance is well known for his involvement in Air Force human factors flight safety education, and is one of the civilian pioneers of Crew Resource Management (CRM).

A nationally-known author of 19 major books, five non-fiction and 13 fiction bestsellers, Nance has also logged many appearances on national shows such as Larry King Live, PBS Hour with Jim Lehrer, Oprah, NPR, Nova, the Today Show, and many others. His editorials have been published in newspapers nationwide, including the Los Angeles Times and USA Today. He has long been listed in Who's Who in America, Who's Who in American Law, and Who's Who Among Emerging Leaders in America.

The CHC Safety and Quality Summit will feature approximately 70 sessions examining this year's theme: Corporate Responsibility vs. Personal Accountability. An impressive array of experts will join Nance to deliver the sessions.

Now in its seventh consecutive year, the Summit is an internationally recognized, non-profit aviation safety conference aimed at improving safety in aviation globally through excellence in human factors. The Summit is hosted by CHC Helicopter, one of the world's largest providers of civilian search and rescue services and transportation for the global offshore oil gas industry.
