Aerolite gets STC for AW109SP stretcher kit

Aug. 28, 2014 – Aerolite recently received a FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for an AgustaWestland AW109SP quick change stretcher kit. The kit is meant for operators that need the capability to quickly reconfigure any AW109SP into a configuration with one or two stretchers.
Aug. 28, 2014 – Aerolite recently received a FAA Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for an AgustaWestland AW109SP quick change stretcher kit. The kit is meant for operators that need the capability to quickly reconfigure any AW109SP into a configuration with one or two stretchers.
The kit is installed within minutes and comes complete with folding stretcher, folding platform and stowage bag.
Two kit configurations are available: one stretcher with four AW passenger seats or two stretchers with two AW passenger seats. No modifications to the existing AgustaWestland seat provisions are required.
The stretcher itself is a low weight and foldable aircraft type stretcher equipped with adjustable back rest, shoulder and waist and leg belts. The stretchers are available in two lengths, 73 or 79 inches.
