Canadian Helicopters reports increase in profits

Aug. 18, 2009, Montreal - Canadian Helicopters Income Fund Canada's largest helicopter transportation services firm, recently stated profits rose during the second quarter while revenue remained relatively flat.


Aug. 18, 2009, Montreal – Canadian Helicopters Income Fund Canada's largest helicopter transportation services firm, recently stated profits rose during the second quarter while revenue remained relatively flat.

The Montreal-based fund reported net income before non-controlling interest of $8.1 million, or 62 cents per unit, for
the quarter ended June 30. Canadian Helicopters said the ressults marked an increase over profits of $6.7 million or 50 cents per unit recorded a year earlier.

Quarterly revenue dipped just 0.5 per cent to $41.4 million compared to $41.6 million booked during the corresponding quarter of 2008.
