FlightSafety promotes Winston Leong

March 26, 2012, La Guardia Airport, N.Y. - FlightSafety International is pleased to announce that Winston Leong has been promoted to Marketing Manager, Commercial Simulation for the Asia Pacific region.


“Our Customers and prospects in the Asia Pacific region will benefit from Winston’s background in engineering, program management and product support, and his in-depth understanding of the new and innovative simulation products and services FlightSafety offers,” said Rick Armstrong, Vice President, Simulation.

Winston joined FlightSafety in 1998 as an Associate Engineer at the company’s training device design and manufacturing facility in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He has held a number of positions with increasing responsibility since then and most recently served as Remote Assets Manager. He has led and contributed to the design and development of new flight simulators and worked with aircraft manufacturers and aviation regulatory agencies worldwide to ensure the devices met or exceeded their requirements.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace Engineering from Iowa State University of Science and Technology and a Master of Science degree in Engineering and Technology Management from Oklahoma State University. Winston is fluent in several languages spoken in the Asia Pacific region including Mandarin, Cantonese and Japanese.
