Heli-One welcomes new global director

Oct. 8, 2010, Vancouver - Heli-One is pleased to announce that Richard Grainger has joined the Heli-One team as the Global Director, Safety and Quality.


In that capacity, Grainger will report to Neil Calvert, President, Heli-One, and indirectly to Greg Wyght, Vice-President, Safety & Quality.

Grainger joins the Heli-One team with 25 years of experience in the aerospace industry and boasts expertise in corporate management, quality assurance and control, safety management systems, environmental protection, project management, and policy development.

“We have a great Safety & Quality team in Heli-One and I am thrilled that Bill will be leading that team. He has a passion for aviation safety and quality,” said Wyght. “That passion, combined with his extensive experience and education in the field, leaves no doubt that his leadership will have a positive and immediate impact.”

Grainger’s diverse background, recently as Vice-President at Airborne Energy Solutions in Alberta, will lend itself perfectly to the task as he plans, develops and coordinates the safety, occupational health, and quality components of work, people, materials, equipment and environments to achieve safety and quality effectiveness and compliance for Heli-One, globally.

“Bill will be looking across the Heli-One organization to ensure that we have optimum structure, processes and procedures in place in order for us to be best in class in regards to safety and quality,” said Calvert. “In order to achieve this goal, Bill will have all of the key safety and quality positions reporting in to him indirectly on a global basis.”
