March 2, 2011 – Integrated Microwave Technologies (IMT), a Business Unit within the Vitec Group’s Videocom Division, and a leader in advanced digital microwave systems for MAG (Military, Aerospace & Government) markets, is showcasing its MobilCMDR Two-Way COFDM Diversity Handheld Receiver at HELI-EXPO 2011 (Booth 2910).

IMT Mobil CMDR

Ideal for government applications such as airborne downlinks and mobile vehicles that operate in tactical and/or strategic settings, the MobilCMDR is a ruggedized COFDM (DVB-T compliant) dual diversity handheld receiver/monitor. It offers exceptional RF performance and durability, combined with true ease of operation and superb H.264 decoding. The unit displays received video images on a built-in nine inch high brightness display which also features an easy-to-use menu-driven interface. The MobilCMDR also is available with AES decryption capabilities for applications requiring it.

“As IMT’s commitment to provide state-of-the-art wireless equipment to the military, aerospace and government markets continues to grow stronger, we are proud to showcase our MobilCMDR at HELI-EXPO 2011,” says Integrated Microwave Technologies President Stephen Shpock. “All of the features of the MobilCMDR receiver allow us to provide an unequaled value in a high quality COFDM receiver/monitor for government, law enforcement and security applications.”

Representing the latest in maximum ratio combining technology, the MobilCMDR offers superior diversity reception with new cutting-edge features including an on-screen display, Ethernet monitoring for remote control access and IP encapsulation for Internet broadcast. Among its other attributes is the ability to deliver either SD or HD (SDI) video, depending on option package chosen. It comes equipped with a straightforward operating design and compact chassis with optional recording capabilities.  The MobilCMDR is available in L-Band, S-Band and C-Band frequency ranges and has AES decryption capabilities that make it ideal for applications ranging from public safety monitoring to covert surveillance.

The MobilCMDR allows multiple remote viewers to monitor the same video simultaneously and has a milled aluminum chassis and ergonomic hand grips. All of these features provide an unequaled value in a high-quality COFDM receiver/monitor.

The administration software package also allows users to configure and store up to 16 custom preset configurations. The presets can store as little or as much information as the administrator wishes. These values can then be locked in place, providing simple and reliable operation. The MobilCMDR employs AES encryption preventing unauthorized viewing from decoding or eavesdropping.

An information summary can be displayed using the On-Screen Display (OSD) feature. The OSD includes signal strength, demodulator lock, decryption active and decoding indicators. The OSD provides users with full confidence in the operation of the unit.

“The MobilCMDR has proven to be successful in mission-critical environments,” adds Shpock. “Coupled with our airborne transmitter or our remotely deployable suitcase transmitter, the unit provides the user with a complete enhanced microwave video system for any situational awareness application.”
