Media Luna orders Grand Helicopter

Oct. 10, 2008 – AgustaWestland, a Finmeccanica company, is pleased to announce that Media Luna has signed a contract for one Grand light twin turbine engine helicopter. The signing ceremony was held at NBAA. The helicopter will be used to provide executive transport missions between citrus groves around Florida for the Latt Maxcy Corporation.

The Grand offers impressive operational availability and serviceability with the fastest cruise speed and low fuel consumption. This is the third AgustaWestland helicopter for Media Luna and its superior features in terms of performance maximizes the time necessary for Latt Maxcy to cover all 9 citrus grove divisions in one day, which are located in 7 counties around Florida. The Latt Maxcy Corporation is based in Lake Wales, FL and includes operations in cattle ranching, citrus growing, banking and real estate developments.

The Grand is a new top-of-the-range light twin helicopter developed to meet a wide range of market requirements and provides levels of cabin space and payload that until now could only be met by larger, more expensive helicopters. This new intermediate size helicopter with light twin economics has proven to be a major success in its class. Its distinctive characteristics and a wide range of interiors and avionics solutions make it a suitable platform for a multitude of roles including corporate/VIP transport, emergency medical service and offshore transport. Orders for over 270 helicopters have been placed by more than 140 customers in 30 countries.
