Oct. 17, 2012, Bedford, Tx. - Night Flight Concepts is pleased to announce it has completed delivery of a comprehensive night vision goggle training solution for SkyLife Air Ambulance. The new training enhances operational readiness for SkyLife to perform safe, efficient critical care transport services at night.
The new SkyLife Air Ambulance Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) program is one of the strategic capabilities that enables the organization to more safely, efficiently and effectively serve their clients at night. Designed to merge cutting-edge technologies with exceptional EMS NVG industry experience, Night Flight Concepts conducted an innovative training program that provided up-to-date, relevant, comprehensive information on the latest NVG technology coupled with real-world, EMS- specific operational scenario training.
The comprehensive training program component from NFC entailed:
• Initial NVG training for SkyLife pilots and medical crew members. Initial NVG training is required for personnel who do not have previous night vision goggle qualification or experience. For pilots, this is a mandatory requirement identified in FAA FAR 61.31(k) to use NVGs in flight.

• NVIOTM NVG Computer-Based Training (CBT). This cost-effective, self-paced, interactive e-learning tool of FAA-approved NVG content augments conventional instruction, helps accelerate learning comprehension, enhances learning effectiveness and automatically maintains a standardized approach to training.
