SkyTrac sets up Sharkey's for safer system management

November 01, 2012
Nov. 1, 2012, Kelowna, B.C. - Sharkey’s Helicopters has utilized the SkyWeb fleet management system from SkyTrac Systems on all six of its helicopters to provide premium service to VIP charter clients and to add to overall safety.

When Sharkey’s charters a helicopter to a VIP customer, they provide a special one-day logon for the helicopter that will be in service. This allows the customer’s office to know exactly where the aircraft is in real time.

This service provides the information needed to set up ground transportation, move appointments around and do whatever else is needed to dramatically improve their VIP’s experience. This service also positively adds to the customer’s perception. It lets them know that Sharkey’s does care about them and their time and that they are “number 1 in our book.” Being the only company in the area to offer this service has given Sharkey’s many repeat customers and referrals.

Sharkey’s Helicopters President Roger Sharkey commented, “We want to ensure our clients are able to provide the highest quality experience, and by enabling our client to login and track just the aircraft that their people are on using SkyWeb, they can ensure their guest is taken care of by knowing exactly where they are at any given time.”

SkyTrac Systems President and CEO Kathleen Wallace stated, “We originally envisioned that SkyTrac would provide flight following and satellite communication capabilities. We have grown and now provide so many more value-added enhancements. We are learning every day from our clients about the unique ways that they utilize our systems. We look forward to seeing how the new ISAT-200A will revolutionize the business aviation market.”
