NLAF to honour top women in aviation at special event

Sept. 18, 2014, Toronto - The Northern Lights Award Foundation (NLAF) will be awarding the six winners of its 2014 aviation and aerospace awards on Friday, September 26. Among the prestigious list of honourees is Dr. Roberta Bondar, the world's first neurologist in space and Canada's first woman astronaut.


More than 200 aviation and aerospace professionals will gather on this evening to honour these women at the Annual Gala Awards Dinner and Ceremony at Toscana Banquet and Conference Centre in Toronto. You can purchase your tickets by visiting our website or by calling 416-877-2083.

Each year, the national not-for-profit foundation honours outstanding Canadian women in aviation and aerospace who have made a significant contribution in their field and who continue to lay the groundwork for other women to enter or excel in these industries.

  • 6:00 p.m.: Cocktail Reception, corporate displays and silent auction
  • 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.: Dinner and awards presentations

Where: Toscana Banquet and Conference Centre, just two traffic lights north of Hwy 407 off of the Jane Street exit. Entrance to Toscana is off of Interchange Way. On Hwy 7 turn left/south at the first traffic lights west of Jane Street onto Interchange Way.
