Citing sustainability and product reliability benefits, Lisbon, Portugal-based Omni Helicopters International (OHI) – said to be Latin America’s largest provider of air mobility and delivery solutions – has secured seven additional Super Medium helicopters for delivery in 2023 and 2024 to meet new customer demands.

“We decided to step up our position in the Super Medium helicopter class, both to accelerate delivery on our sustainability commitments and to provide increasingly reliable options to our customers,” OHI´s group chief operating officer Duncan Moore said. “We will continue to explore all aircraft options to ensure that our customers can rely on us for capacity to meet their demanding missions.”

The helicopters offer what company officials call “superior CO2 efficiency per seat” and optimized operating cost versus the vast majority of other types; and they enable OHI to create optionality for its customers, “while enhancing the company’s Airbus H175 and Leonardo AW189 fleets.”

“This is a significant milestone that reinforces our leadership in the South American offshore transport market,” Roberto Coimbra, CEO of Omni Táxi Aéreo, said. “These state-of-the-art aircraft allow us to build on our world-class service, with unparalleled reach and efficiency, aligned with the most demanding IOGP-690 standards.”
