Sikorsky announces agreement with Harrods Aviation

October 20, 2010  By Carey Fredericks

Oct. 20, 2010, Atlanta, GA - Sikorsky Aerospace Services announced today the signing of an agreement authorizing Harrods Aviation to install modification kits on Sikorsky S-76 helicopters in Europe.

“Sikorsky continues to increase its global presence, and we welcome opportunities to expand our regional aftermarket support with a quality aviation specialist like Harrods Aviation. With a high concentration of Sikorsky operators throughout the European Union, our ability to provide modifications regionally is pivotal for servicing this territory,” said David Adler, president of Sikorsky Aerospace Services.

The two-year agreement will facilitate SAS offering custom modifications to S-76 helicopter operators in Europe. Harrods Aviation will purchase the kits directly from Sikorsky and install the modifications in the region.

“We are continually looking at ways to enhance the service we provide as a Sikorsky Customer Support Centre and view this agreement as the perfect way to achieve this goal. The additional ability to provide custom modifications to our current and future S-76 operators through our London Stansted line and base maintenance facility will further enhance our position as the FBO chain of choice for the London area,” according to a Harrods Aviation statement.
