United Rotorcraft completes new paint facility

Nov. 18, 2014, Decatur, Tx. - United Rotorcraft recently completed a 6,600-square-foot aircraft painting facility located in Decatur, Texas. The facility is equipped with a paint booth that 18 feet wide by 63 feet long, and features solid state controls that regulate humidity levels, temperatures, and downdraft ventilation to achieve the precise environment for the highest quality paint finish.


"Our new state-of-the-art facility has the ability to paint a variety of aircraft all the way up to an UH-60 Blackhawk Helicopter," said Mike Slattery, president of United Rotorcraft. "It's all about the quality of the product, and now we have more paint space, the latest technology and faster completion time, taking our paint capabilities to a whole new level."

The new system can accommodate 35 to 40 aircraft paint completions per year. Today, United Rotorcraft delivered the freshly-painted AS350 B3e for Airbus Helicopters.
