Eurocopter EC175 primed for oil and gas demo

March 4, 2013, Grand Prairie, Tx. - Eurocopter and American Eurocopter are bringing a new EC175 helicopter, configured designed for offshore oil and gas industry transport, to the Houston area for demonstrations on March 14-15.
As part of the demonstration tour news media are invited to come see and fly in the EC175 on March 14 at Western Airways, 100 Jim Davidson Dr., at the Sugar Land Regional Airport.
The event will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and includes lunch. There will be briefings about the EC175 from Eurocopter personnel and demonstration flights. A chase helicopter will be available to carry photographers for aerial photos and video.
The EC175 began its U.S. demonstration tour on Monday, Feb. 25, at Bristow Group in New Iberia, La. It will be exhibited at the Heli-Expo 2013 trade show in Las Vegas on March 5-8 and will make other demonstration stops before arriving in Sugarland.
The EC175 is designed to carry up to 16 passengers in comfort over long distances, making it ideal for offshore transport. It was developed using the latest design and production tools and incorporates the latest in communications and safety technology.
