Eurocopter’s new EC175 makes first stop at American Eurocopter

Feb. 25, 2013, Grand Prairie, Tex. - The EC175, the newest helicopter in the Eurocopter line of modern high performance aircraft, arrived Friday at American Eurocopter’s headquarters in Grand Prairie.
The production EC175’s arrival at American Eurocopter is the first stop in the U.S. where the aircraft will be demonstrated to prospective customers.
It is the latest in a line of new aircraft developed by Eurocopter, the world’s largest manufacturer of helicopters. The EC175 is an aircraft that sets new standards in the medium-sized, twin-engine helicopter class. It will be marketed extensively to companies that transport passengers and supplies for the offshore oil and gas industry, including those operating in the Gulf of Mexico.
The EC175 will be demonstrated March 5-7 at the Heli-Expo 2013 helicopter industry convention in Las Vegas, where the helicopter will be shown on Eurocopter’s exhibit stand.
