International (HAI) is pleased to announce that registration is now
open for the first HAI / Federal Interagency 2008 Helicopter
Firefighting Safety Forum.

International (HAI) is pleased to announce that registration is now
open for the first HAI / Federal Interagency 2008 Helicopter
Firefighting Safety Forum. The Forum will be held Tuesday and
Wednesday, February 5-6, 2008, at the Courtyard by Marriott, Meridian,
Idaho (located eight miles from the Boise airport). Due to space
limitations, interested parties should register as soon as possible.
HAI operator members who conduct helicopter firefighting operations,
with an interest in providing services to the U.S. Forest Service
(USFS) and the Department of the Interior (DOI), are strongly
encouraged to attend the Forum. This will be a prime opportunity for
helicopter operators to obtain current information from government
representatives and industry experts regarding safety initiatives,
accident analysis, operational firefighting contract protocols, and
other related pre-solicitation contract information as presented by the
USFS and DOI.
The second day of the Forum will feature a workshop, providing
interaction between industry and government personnel to develop
mutually beneficial action items, resulting in problem resolution.
Interested helicopter operators, who are not HAI members, are welcome
to attend on a space available basis.
The traditional HAI Government Contracting Committee Forum at
HELI-EXPO 2008 will be replaced by a Federal Interagency Vendor
Seminar, to be conducted by the USFS and the Office of Aircraft
Services (OAS). It is open to all interested parties. This seminar at
HELI-EXPO 2008 will serve as a follow-up to the HAI Helicopter
Firefighting Safety Forum in Idaho. Issues and action items raised at
the Idaho Forum will be discussed along with new information.
